Hi again. I wanted to let you know that I installed my ArtPrize entry at Minty Keen today. It’s hanging on the wall and looking magnificent in its new setting. I hope you’ll venture out to ArtPrize to look at my work.
I couldn’t have received a more perfect venue for “The Bath.” I’d like to thank Angie Seabert for selecting my work as one of the many she’ll display in her store. It truly looks at home in Minty Keen.
Remember, voting for the first round of ArtPrize runs from September 21 to midnight on September 28, 2011. Please get out to support the arts.
ArtPrize 2011 is drawing near. Just a reminder that voting on the competition runs from September 21 until midnight on September 28th. Please get out and support the arts.
You can register online to vote starting September 7, 2011. But, you must visit designated sites in the downtown area in order to activate your voting status.
And, equally important [eh hem], my work will be located in Minty Keen, a wonderful locally-owned store that specializes in vintage and local-made items. I hope you’ll visit the store to view my painting and, simply, to check out the store.
My site is WordPress site is mostly finished You can view some of my earlier works now. I’ll be posting more images within the next few days.
I love to receive feedback about my work; please feel free to leave comments.
Have a great day!
I will be displaying a work in ArtPrize 2011 titled: “The Bath.” It is an oil painting on canvas approximately 3 feet wide by 2 feet tall. You get a glimpse of the painting in the header of my site. I hope you’ll all come out and vote for my work. I’m excited about the competition, and I can’t wait to see the work of others.
ArtPrize runs from September 21-October 9 this year. Please get out to vote and, most importantly, to see the work of artists from around the world and from right here in Grand Rapids.
If you’re interested in viewing my work, it will be displayed at Minty Keen located in the Ledyard Building at 125 Ottawa Street NW, Suite 170, in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The “eco-friendly retail shop and studio” is well worth checking out, even before the start of ArtPrize. It’s a locally owned business that supports the work of local artists and has a beautiful collection of handmade and vintage items.
Thanks for stopping by.
